Port St. Lucie, incorporated in 1961, is the seventh largest city by population in Florida, the third largest in the South Florida region and the most populous City in St. Lucie County.  It is located near the Atlantic Ocean on the southeast coast of Florida, situated with Indian River County to the north and Martin County to the south.
