CareerSource Research Coast (CSRC) has launched new workforce training and development programs to support St. Lucie County residents and businesses economically impacted by COVID-19.


St. Lucie Recovers Small Business Assistant Grant Moves to Phase 3

The grants program launched at the beginning of August to provide economic relief to small businesses hardest hit in St. Lucie County due to COVID-19 has been successfully processing applications. Phase three of the program launched October 19, with some new criteria.

Grants up to $20,000, which do not have to be repaid, will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying businesses with 25-50 employees. Priority is being given to businesses that did not receive funding through other federal, state, or local programs related to COVID-19. (Businesses with up to 25 employees are still eligible and encouraged to apply.)

Mobile Testing Bus in Port St. Lucie

The Florida Department of Health, in cooperation with the Florida Division of Emergency Management, will be deploying a mobile testing bus that will be stationed today (Friday, October 23rd) and Saturday (October 24th) in Port St. Lucie for walk-up COVID-19 testing.

The mobile testing bus will be able to test up to 500 persons and process them within 48 hours.

  • Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at Sandhill Crane Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 24. 2020 at Whispering Pines Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
